Ingrid Baetzel is the editor and owner of The East Shore Mainstreet, a monthly community newspaper that has been in circulation for 20 years as of July 2011.
Ingrid was raised in Gray Creek, BC, on Kootenay Lake and, after attending the University of Victoria for two years, she did some traveling and lived in Nelson, Calgary, Germany and Vancouver for about ten years after her graduation from Crawford Bay School. She returned home with her husband, Juergen, and they are raising two children (Zoe and Luka) on their property in Gray Creek, right next door to where Ingrid grew up.
